Togo are through to the under-17 World Cup in South Korea
Hosts Togo and Tunisia qualified for the under-17 World Cup on Friday after reaching the semi-final of the African junior Championship.
Togo needed a late strike from Kossi Segbefia in the Group A match to beat Gabon 2-1 to book their tickets for the tournament in South Korea in August.
Tunisia's 2-2 draw with South Africa was enough to see them progress to the last four.
Togo finished top of the group with six points with the Tunisians taking the second spot on five points.
Gabon dominated the early exchanges in the game in Lome and took the lead on 16 minutes thanks to a strike from Tsongue Tamba.
Atakora Lalawele pulled the home side level on the half hour mark after converting a penalty following an infringement on a Togolese striker in a crowded six-yard box.
Lalawele was sent-off five minutes later which accounted for Togo's disjointed play in the second half.
But Segbefia sent the home into ruptures after latching onto Mohammadou Abdoulaye's pass at the edge of the box to slot home.
Togo will face the second-placed in Group B in Tuesday's semi final while Tunisia take on Group B winners.
Ghana play Nigeria on Saturday to decide who wins Group B.
