LOME — The Togo Football Federation (TFF) has said that it has agreed to signed a 10-month contract with the former Super Eagles captain and coach, Stephen Keshi to qualify their national team for the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana, President of the TFF, Avlessi Tata-de-Mess made the disclosure here on Tuesday when he spoke with some Nigerian Sports Journalists covering the on-going CAF U-17 Championship. “I need Stephen Keshi in my national team, he is a very good trainer.
I need him to sign a 10-month contract with me to qualify my country for the African Cup of Nation in Ghana next year. If it is okay by him fine and he continues, but if otherwise, he goes.
This is business, it’s not a joke”, he said, adding that he loves Keshi so much and his name is a household name in Togo. The TFF president also showered encomium on the Golden Eaglets for their soccer artistry in their match against Eritrea but wishes his country emerges champion as the host nation. According to him the Eaglets possess a lot of skill that can see them to the final.
He also decried the shoddy organisation of the on-going CAF U-17 Championship by the organisers, saying he was not in the know of everything about the set up as it was not under his federation.
